Mr. Aman, a recognized lawyer for his innovative ways and track record of more than 20 years’ in providing quality legal service, is the managing partner at Aman Assefa & Associates Law Office. With depth of experience in academia, judiciary and corporate private practice, Mr. Aman’s expertise include corporate law, M&A (including private equity practice), anti-trust and banking, and infrastructure and projects. Mr. Aman holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law.

Mr. Bahakal, formerly in-house commercial legal counsel and corporate affairs director at Diageo in Ethiopia, is a seasoned senior lawyer with expertise in investment and regulatory matters, due diligence, M&A (including privatization affairs), labor law, procurement, energy and international arbitration. Bahakal holds an LL.M (with distinction) in Int. Economic & Business Law (IEBL) from the University of Groningen (the Netherlands); LL.M in Int. Dispute Settlement Law from Geneva & the Graduate Institute and his LL. B, summa cum laude, from Haramaya University, School of Law.
Ermias Ayalew

Mr. Ermias, an Assistant Professor in law with over 12 years experience in teaching and litigation, is a seasoned senior lawyer with expertise in litigation, corporate law, ADR, Construction and procurement laws, Oil and gas as well as Maritime laws. Ermias has appeared before the Permanent Court of Arbitration and has published extensively in different areas of laws. Mr. Ermias, obtained his LL. M in International Trade and Investment Laws from the University of Pretoria and the University of Amsterdam. Ermias obtained his LL. B from the Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law.

Mr. Micael, formerly in-house legal counsel at a major local group company, has accumulated wealth of legal and business knowledge, and has hands-on experience in managing high stake negotiations. Micael’s expertise include deal structuring and negotiations, Due diligence, Mergers and acquisitions, Arbitration and Investment advisory services. Micael holds Master of Law and Business (MLB) from Hamburg, Germany and LLM in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration (MIDS) in Geneva, Switzerland. A Recipient of the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) in 2008 from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law.

Tilahun (PhD), formerly an assistant professor at Bahir Dar University School of Law, specializes in investment, business laws and international trade law with publications in leading national and international journals. Tilahun holds a PhD from Monash University, Australia, an LL.M in International Trade and Investment Law from the University of Pretoria and American University Washington College of Law and his LL.B (great distinction) from Bahir Dar University. He obtained a certificate in International Legal Studies from American University.

Ms. Mintewab, a New York Bar admitted lawyer with passion for corporate and transactions practice, has led major projects involving M&A, due diligence, legal memos, negotiation and execution of transactions at various Government offices. Mintewab has interned at the International Investment for Sustainable Development in Geneva and brings with her a unique development angle to investments. Mintewab received her LLM in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration from New York University, School of Law and her LL. Redeat has interned at the FDRE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the past and is a graduate with an LL.B. (distinction) from Addis Ababa University, School of Law. Redeat is currently on a study leave doing her LLM in International Trade Law at the University of Essex, England.
